No title. Deutsche Historische Museum, Berlin I. M. Pei architect (1917 –2019)

I.M. Pei, one of the most celebrated and prolific architects of the 20th century, has died aged 102. The son of a prominent Chinese banker, he favoured stone, steel and glass in his creations that bore his hallmark geometry and reverence for light.

I remember visiting the German History Museum in Berlin in 2012 and being transported by some force of nature in the freshly built and seemingly modest work by I.M. Pei.
