About the new AI UX design companion, ask[wAI]

ask[wAI] – and why not

I’m an experienced UX/UI product designer and design educator with a persistent knack for mentoring and coaching. Over the years, I’ve guided many design students, starting and mid-career designers and led professional teams to move up, scale up and self-manage.

In 2023, I decided to dive headfirst into the intriguing world of AI and ChatGPT – for the sake of permanent discovery in the ambient, upcoming sense-and-nonsense world of a AI supported design practice.
Then the idea struck me: why not create a kind of sarcastic, self-ironic coachGPT chatbot with a dash of reflective power?

And voila, ask[wAI] was born.

Picture this: I’ve started to meticulously handpick and build AI expert content, curated loads of relevant data (online and offline), and spiced it up with exciting and humoristic prompts. All to help you navigate the magical realm of design and (self-)mentoring with a twist of wit and wisdom (yes we all need lots of that, even when it sounds quite fishy at times).

I continue to train ask[wAI] to respond to any of your pointed questions about UX design and mentorship in a highly contextual and surprising manner (a AI dialogue in progress, adapting and learning from input along the way as well).
It’s like having a design-savvy buddy or a co-pilot by your side 24/7, no matter your time zone!

Whether you have burning questions about mentorship or want to dive deep into the endless universe of designing for humans, ask[wAI] coachGPT is here to enlighten your quest or just lighten the conversation.
Ask again, and let the ask[wAI]-powered flow begin!
